Overall Personality: Haylee is a hard working, sweet young woman, but she can be very complicated. She works hard to provide for her little boy and make a living, but as a single mother, she sometimes struggles. She tends to keep to herself much of the time. Her baby is her world, and she would do just about anything for him. His safety is always at the forefront of her mind, and she takes precautions when necessary to protect him. Over the last year or so, she has sacrificed a lot to protect him and provide for him. She loves her job, especially since it provides her with some flexibility in regards to both time and location.
Haylee has always had a sweet, friendly nature. Though she can be shy at times, she is generally fairly easy to talk to, and she enjoys making friends. However, she can be a little wary of people at first because of her past. She tends to see danger around every corner, thanks to her ex, so she is often cautious and doesn't take unnecessary risks. When she gets close to someone, which isn't often these days, her true personality comes out. She can be very bubbly and her true nature is always happy, even if she hasn't been that way for the last couple of years. She loves to laugh and have fun.
She has some downsides to her personality, as well. She tends to be emotional, but she bottles it up and tends to not show it in front of anyone. Haylee has never loved incredibly easily, but when she does, it's a forever thing. She can be stubborn and strong willed, and a fighter when she needs to be. Overall History: Haylee has a very complicated history. She was born and raised in Chicago, but moved to Long Beach when she was in high school. It didn't take her long to realize she liked the beach and the laid back atmosphere. She visited the beach frequently, often taking long walks with her camera and taken pictures of just about everything. She was a good student in high school, graduating with honors, and got a scholarship to college for photography and business. It was what she loved, and she excelled, doing extra courses and summer classes to allow her to graduate with a double major in only four years. During that time, unfortunately, she lost her parents to a drunk driving accident, leaving her alone in the world. Yet somehow, she managed to meet someone that truly captured her heart. Haylee fell in love, and supposedly so did he, but his job was always more important. He was a little older than her and he was a federal agent. They'd been together a year and a half when an important assignment came up, and he decided to take it, leaving her behind with nothing but an apology and an 'I love you' that didn't seem to mean much to her at the time. A few weeks later, she found out she was pregnant. With no way to contact her ex, who had gone deep undercover, she knew she would have to go it alone. Nine months later, her son was born. Knowing her baby's father was in a dangerous profession and that his son could one day be used against him if his cover were blown, she opted to give her baby her last name instead of his. Since that day, she's been terrified that someone will come after her son, or worse, that her ex would return and ruin the fragile life she'd worked so hard to build.
