It wasn't that she hated watching her siblings, because she did love them and they were fun. But, she wasn't sure how she was supposed to watch them meet new people like her mother wanted her to. Most teenagers didn't go near someone they thought had two children, unless they had other motives. So there she was, at the park. It was bright and sunny, the only thing that would make it better would be if they actually lived on or near the beach. But, alas they didn't, the park would have to do. She sort of loved it that when they usually got to the park, there were no kids her age since most of them were at school. They were a little later that day, it was around four, and the park the crowded.
Parker stuck to the grass close to the side walk, maybe this was from being an Army brat for so long but she hated to be in the middle of crowds. She really couldn't handle not having a close escape route. William her five year old brother and Melanie her two year old sister were excited about the park. It was better than sitting at home, even if they did have a pool. She dropped her bag next to a nearby tree and pulled the green soccer ball out. She grinned softly at her siblings as they got ready. she loved soccer, but they were young so kicking the ball back and forth was fun for them.
So began the game of back and forth. her little sister stood next to her, and she made sure to hold her hand when she tried to kick the ball, she tended to biff it when she went to kick. Parker almost always suppressed a giggle, it was just too funny and adorable when she would go to try and kick the ball hard and then trip on the ball. Her brother on the other hand was pretty good and she was sure that he had all his five year old dreams on joining a team for the summer. She would surely have to talk to her mom about it, she would be able to drive him back and forth to practices and it wouldn't hurt him to join a team, it's what dad would have wanted.
It was a little while longer that she swung her sister up to kick the ball, carefully lifting her up my her wrists for her to kick the ball. What she hadn't expected was the ball to go flying The two year old screamed happily, she kicked the ball so far. the little girl jumped for joy and Parker couldn't resist the parade of high fives and fist taps that came. She laughed happily with her sister, but made sure to watch Will as he ran to get the ball. Her heart practically stopped when she saw the ball roll right to the feet of a blonde. She didn't know who he was, but that wasn't a shocker. She had met one person, and that was when she had gone to a tour of the high school she would be attending.
"William.. be careful." She said loud enough for him to hear, and the guy. She was watching them like a hawk behind her dark aviators. If he decided to pull a fast one and try to steal their ball or if he wanted to pick a fight with a five year old, maybe even try and kidnap him she would have to do something about it. She wouldn't put it past anyone, she had seen a grown man push Melanie down just the other day because she was walking too slow and she had been in his way. Parker wasn't proud what she said to him, but she had shouted a few nasty words at him. She just hoped the blonde guy wouldn't be like the grown man. She would be in deep trouble if anything happened to her brother or sister, she might not even make it to her Junior year.
