Parental control really wasn't something seventeen years olds needed, that's what she normally told herself. But, she could it completely insane when her parents called her to check and make sure that their little secrets were still secrets. There was no "Isobel, how are you? how are you settling into the house? I know I miss you too, I'll be home soon." Nope, it was "Has he shown up to the house? I haven't gotten any deliveries?" "No, you haven't. Why the hell would they send stuff here? You don't even live here. I don't know why you and Edwin even pretend that you even care the slightest. She could only prove her point so much, but when her mother just said something about buying her something pretty for being such a good little girl, she even called her by the wrong name and then hung the phone up. She was seventeen, far from a little girl and if she let her mother calling her by the wrong name upset her, then she would be completely insane herself. She was almost positive that the nannies are the ones that really named her. After all they had raised her, sometimes she missed her nannies, they were like what she thought have regular parents would be like. But, she had Kelley and Lucas. Then again they had come up with the arrangement that she really didn't need them. She could clean and could fairly well. They checked in twice a week to make sure every was okay. But, when they did come, she made sure that they knew how much she appreciated it.
That's why she was there. Lucas had told her about the market place, she was stoked. Fresh fruits and veggies. She grabbed the little basket she had seen Lucas use, a gathering basket, and oh boy did she have it loaded. Fresh strawberries, raspberries, apples, oranges, carrots, snapped peas, tomatoes, lemons, spinach, broccoli, and cauliflower. She loved fresh fruits and veggies; they were amazing. She was smiling ad saying hello to people and they sort of looked at her funny and a few of them even waved back. Maybe they just weren't used to people being so friendly. Maybe they just don't like redheads, they were jealous. Okay she really didn't think that, but she did love her hair. She walked through the people, looking in all the stalls, looking at everything. She saw clothes, foods, even puppies, and everything else she could possibly think of. It really did amaze her and then she found the holy grail, it was a stall of books, hundreds and hundreds of books. A large grin spread across her face, lighting up her dark green eyes as she took in all of the books. She walked into the stall, saying hello to the older couple with their little cash box. She started looking through the books, one shelf at a time. She was clearly enjoying herself as she looked through the books, finding one here and there that she just had to have, placing them in her gathering basket.
