Sixteen hours and twenty-seven minutes was sixteen hours too long to be on airplanes. Then she had to get a rental from the airport and try and find her way around this new town. Even with the GPS, she still got lost. She was exhausted and ready to just lay down. She needed to get the dogs first. She missed her boys and Molly. Sure, she was happy she would get to see her family, but it still killed her to leave Percy. She already missed him and she played with the necklace, the one he had given her for their first anniversary. Heck, she had even snagged one of his sweaters. She was not above that and it was perfect since it still smelled like him. She finally got to the house, or so the GPS said, Destination on the left..you have reached your destination." She let out a long sigh as she pulled to the front and put it in park before cutting the engine, getting out of the car before making her way to the front door.

She heard the booming barks before she even pushed the door open fully. She grinned and dropped to the floor. She hugged the two very large great danes. "How are my two big boys doing? Did you have a nice flight?" She asked them in a soft voice, then Molly came over for attention and she grinned, kissing the dog on the nose. "Pretty girl..your daddy misses you." She told her with a grin. She hugged each dog before standing up carefully. "Come on, we'll say hello then we can go home and situate." She told them, knowing that they couldn't really understand her. "Hello? Is anyone home?" She said louder, calling out to anyone. She just needed them to know she was here and would be taking the dogs, she didn't need them to be worried if they got home and then the dogs were missing. She walked quietly through the house looking around, her heels clicking on the hard floors.

I’ll dance with myself, I drunk myself down, Found people to love, Left people to drown, I'm not scared to jump, I'm not scared to fall, there was nowhere to land, I wouldn't be scared at all…

Mallory was still a little sore from the fact that her sister had blown her off, she'd had everything explained but, it would take her a while to get over the embarrassment she'd had in the airport whilst she was waiting for her sister. The petite girl knew she couldn't hold it against Florence forever, but she'd rather not speak to her unless she had to. That was why she didn't move downstairs to greet her sister when she came to fetch the dogs, Mallory remained in her room stretching out and planning her next lesson with the younger dancers that she taught. Their lessons took the next most amount of time, her own practice coming first and foremost. Honestly, if it wasn't unfair for her sister to not have an answer when she asked if anyone was home, the younger girl wouldn't have gone down. As it was, despite her anger at her sister, she knew she had to be reasonably civil to her so she went to the top of the stairs and called warmly, "I am, that is, if you want to speak to me."

Sweeping a hand through her hair, she slid down the bannister and hopped off at the bottom, smiling weakly at the girl whom she was pretending so desperately to be cross with still, "You happy with the shape your dogs are in?" the teen asked, hoping that she wasn't cross and, at the same time, hoping that there would be no attempt at making up.

Florence looked at her sister as she stood at the top of the stairs; she smirked at her warmness. She didn't fool her for a second. She knew she was still mad at her, but she was just hoping that she wouldn't hold a grudge that long. She was a little worried that she would hold it against her forever and then it would be completely awkward at the family dinners and such. "I'm not the one angry.." She said softly, but loud enough for her to hear.

She watched as she slid down the banister and smirked softly at her. "Yes. Thank you for getting them for me. I appreciate it." She told her softly. She looked down at her dogs and rubbed their heads softly before looking back at her sister. "I suppose I should go, get settled and get the dogs settled... Plus I'm sure you have things to do, people to see." She said, she was sure her sister wanted to lavish in the hatred for a little longer. "Tell mum and dad I got here safely..and I'll see you later?" She said as her small shoulders shrugged. She was not a confrontational type of person, so she would just rather let her sister burn out of the anger and they would get past everything. She knew what she had done was wrong, but when it happened the farthest thing from her mind was coming to California to be with her family, of course she had already decided that she would never tell them what had threw them off their plans.

The problem was, Mallory wasn't really cross with Florence at all, she was cross with her parents for moving the out to America at all, had they stayed in England she'd have been going to a school of dance in the autumn and hopefully dancing professionally not too long after that, but now unless she got into the American Ballet Academy, she had no chance of making that dream and now, with only a few weeks before her graduation from high school, and it was only six months since she'd joined the school. There wasn't enough time to apply before the auditions and her parents would let her go back to England to go to the Royal Acadamy, because they'd pulled her out of that country not to long ago after some dream of their own, but, besides all of that, Mallory didn't think she could leave the little lofty studio that her parents had bought her which was big enough, as it stretched through the loft space of three buildings, to have a dance studio for the classes she taught and an apartment for herself without either being small at all. Perhaps she wouldn't end up leaving, and she wouldn't have a reputation as a failed dancer, if she went to be on the stage and came back to be a teacher, but it wasn't her dream. Still it wasn't her dream she had to worry about right now it was her sister and the fact that she was still half cross with her for things that weren't really her fault.

Mallory raised an eyebrow at her sister's words, "What a fool you think I be," she said laughing, "I'm not angry Flo, just cross, and that's only because you called at just the wrong moment," despite her words, Mal would be cross for a little longer but, she wouldn't let it get in the way of things, well at least, not intentionally. "You're welcome, I had a hard time getting security to let me take them, they didn't seem to like the idea that your younger sister was collecting them with all correct paperwork, hours before your plane was due to land, it took a while, and I can't say they were the sharpest knives in the drawer." Though her manner seemed crude, it seemed the best way to say that for security they'd seemed pretty thick, but, they did their job at least. Mallory's eyes widened as Florence suggested that she left without seeing their parents and speaking to them, "Florence for goodness sakes, you can't leave without seeing them, they were heartbroken when you couldn't come into town and they would never believe me if I said I picked up your dogs, you collected them and left without them being home and you didn't stay to say hello. Please, I'll make you a cup of tea or something, just stay for half an hour until they get home? Please?" Raising her eyebrows at her older sister, she was willing her to say she'd stay, she couldn't bear to see her parents be upset again.

Florence gave her sister a look, sighing quietly. "Alright.." She said, not willing to play this game. Yes she had messed up. She knew it, they both knew it. She had heard about from everyone, the parents and Fran. Not only were they all angry with her, but Percy was also. There was nothing she could do about Percy because he was on the other side of the world and she missed him already. Thinking about him she gripped the cardigan she had in her arms, she held it to her. Thinking about leaving him just a few hours ago, she had cried when they had to part from the gate. He didn't, not in front of her at least. They had hugged for probably a good ten minutes. When she landed and turned on her phone, he had left her a voice mail from about a half an hour after she boarded and it was about a minute long about how he missed her already and that she needed to call him when she settled. She sighed quietly as she glanced down at the ground before looking back at Mal when she started to talk about the dimwits at airport. "I believe it. I called them before I even dropped them off and explained to them what was happened and even had written instructions when I dropped them off and they didn't understand." She said with a small smirk. "At least you never have to do that again." she added quietly.

She saw the look on her sister's face and she sighed softly. "Yes. I know. Everyone is terribly upset with me.." She said sounding a little exasperated. "It's not like I won't be coming back. Obviously. But, if you're offering tea. I guess that will help my nerves a little." She said with another sigh. She didn't need her parents to be fussing over her when they got home. She was honestly ready to just go to her new home, lay there and sleep. She wanted to curl up and forget about this long day. Would that be good? Probably not since she had a cardigan that smelled like Percy still and weeks worth of photo books and scrapbooks with the two of them together and their life. She knew she would just be thinking of him and there was no way to get over him, only time and she really didn't even want to get over him. She loved him and it wasn't like they both willingly called it off, so she knew it would take her a while to move on from the man she almost dropped her family for. She hadn't told anyone except Mal what had happened and why she didn't come when she was supposed to.
