the darkside of clarabeth was well hidden within her past and often occured when she wanted to have the right evidence to mess with the system. she put herself through college and had worked her ass off to avoid her hometown, and planned on never running into her family members ever again. she wanted nothing to do with them.

the blonde did find herself lonely at times, but she usually burried herself in her work or found some poor sap at the local bar. there were a few of those that she couldn't remember the name of nor cared to. ladies and gentlemen-alike were competators to her. She didn't need someone long term, and certainly didn't want to feel attached to some common law-biding citizen. maybe that was why she always tended to go for the more dangerous type, it gave her a sense of thrill.

without looking up from her ice cream or the book that she had pulled out from her hand, she could hear foot steps walking towards the direction where she was located at. out of habit, she just shrugged it off and went back to doing her own thing. it wasn't until the footsteps near the table that she was located at, that's when she heard an unfamiliar male voice interupt her thoughts, causing her eyes to look up, "if you feel like it isn't." she replied, without a beat, with a small little smirk. she took a spoon full of ice cream and brought it to her lips, and swollowing it down. she heard his introduction, and it was a familiar name. she had always been intrigued in cases that tended for him to be the cause of it and her ending up putting someone else behind bars, once it was a dirty cop. "and i'm clara, nice to meet you." she replied, in a friendly sense.

she closed her book and pushed it aside, as she continued working on her sweets, and glanced back up at him. "are you enjoying your treats?" she asked, with a lightly teasing smile.

Things running too smooth at a court case is usually when the other person is holding back until the final day to reveal hard leading evidence, which is why she had a few tricks of her own. Some would say that she was one of those dirty laywers, but that's only because they were either jealous or scared of her, or in some cases, both. Her clinets trusted her when they were in her hands, until she was the prosecutor. She enjoyed playing both roles, and one of the few laywers that transitioned between the two smoothly without troubling thoughts. She personally kept her feelings out of most decisions that would be cast in the court room, she left that to the judges to do and didn't feel much point in putting her personal feelings in a case. She was just driven to win and knew that there was a possiblity that she could become a judge within some time.

The city was littered with slutty woman and man whores, and sometimes she had a difficult time finding someone that fit her style that didn't seem like they were flooding in infections, that might very well roit the brain. Hearing his comment, "Can't say I won't slap you for forgetting." she retored, it was one thing she hated was someone forgetting her name while she was still present. She was only able to excuse someone when they woke up the next day, which she blew off and usually left to go change and head back to work. She heard his comment and how he just moved her, "Ah fresh meat." she replied, as she took a small bite from her spoon with ice cream on it. She heard the flirty comment fully equiped with a rare smirk, causing her to smirk back in return. "Then you should try some." she replied to him, with a why not flirt with him back thoughts. She went through the heavily decked out punk stage through her past with her uncle and it converted to goth for a few months after, and went back to punk and slowly through the years it dulled down. The thing was that she really didn't care about what others thought about her, and the only thing that she would allow people to do was walk over her; those bitches would get punched in the mouth or some other body anatomy. She was a specicated woman, and felt that she should attempt to be polite to new people or even her co-workers in the office.

Personally, Clarabeth didn't give two flying fucks what he did for a living, as long as he wasn't in the police force she was fine with it. By the way he acted, it didn't seem like he was on the "right" side of the law, not that she mind. Apart of her found that oddly sexy, she always felt damaged after her uncle, but it really couldn't be helped.

Clarabeth didn't enjoy randomly walking up to people outside the bar scene, unless it had something to do with her occupation. She knew what it was like to be the new person in a town, that people tended to know or have heard of everyone in the population. She was no stranger to this feeling, nor did she have the slighest sympathy for someone going through the same situation. In fact, she never had sympathy over most people and it was just as simple as that. Her lips wrapped around her straw taking another sip of the liquid in their glass.

Hearing his response cause her to glance back at him, he sounded harsh and a bit demanding, and knew that most girls would take this exact moment to leave. But she wasn't most girls and it was always the seemingly nice guys that screwed her over. "Anything is possible in this town, or any town, really." she replied to him, with a small shrug. Taking another small sip of her drink, glancing over to him when she heard her other comment and tilted her head, "Touche." she commented. The files that she had in her past was legally sealed and untouchable, no one would have ever thought anything horrible happened to her in her past childhood. Hearing his next commented sounded like a warning, but she brushed it off, "That tends to be common knowledge." she replied, glancing towards him, once more. Hearing his little mock statement of him asking if she was a punk model, caused her to let out a soft giggle, "No, I'm a lawyer." she replied, with a small shrug.

Commitment issues kept little Miss Clara out of playing the dating game, scared to death that once she got close to someone.. they'll leave her in the dust. She honestly didn't care this would turn out, but she would like to have a bit of some fun. "It's not that bad, and do you need one?" she asked, with a small charming smile. She didn't mean that he was a bad guy, but even the nicest of people tended to need to laywer up.
