[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,10,true][atrb=style, background-color: #fff; width: 505px; border-top: 10px #95D9DE solid, bTable] the kindest of kisses break the hardest of hearts the big hand met the little hand. the clock struck 8pm, the night was still young. daisy sipped on her vodka and lemonade as she sat alone at the bar. she wasn't 21 yet, but the bartender never asked for her ID, he was always too busy flirting with her, but it was only a few months until she would be turning 21 anyway. she was looking forward to that, looking forward to going out in clubs without having to worry about whether or not she'd get in. still, her age wasn't going to get in the way of her drinking habits. daisy finished off her 3rd vodka and lemonade. she perched on the bar stool, still in her work uniform which was a short sleeved black shirt and a black skirt and to accompany that she had a name badge pinned to her which read "hello i'm daisy". it had been a long day for daisy. she had spent the past 8 hours serving fries, burgers, pizza and all other kinds of heart attack food. her cheeks were sore from all the false smiles she had to give, along with the false laughs. she wanted nothing more than to slap most of the customers across the face with their burger. she learnt the hard way though when she was sacked from her previous job after telling a customer to get fucked. now daisy puts on a fake smile and acts like little miss perfect. daisy was glad to finally relax and unwind without the screams of "double cheeseburger with no tomato" or "hotdog with extra onions". the only downside was she had to go back to that hellhole tomorrow and face the same shit all over again, but it was the only way to keep herself afloat. sure the bills were paid and food was bought thanks to her brothers business, which was dealing drugs to half the neighbour but daisy liked to look after herself without having to rely on her brother too much. yes she loved her brother, but daisy enjoyed spending time away from home. there was no relaxing there, people were always coming and going at all hours. daisy mindlessly clicked away on her phone as she finished another vodka and lemonade. "same again please" she called out to the bartender. |
