CONGRATULATIONS TO THE NEWPORT BEACH, CLASS OF 2013 ON GRADUATING.
CLASS OF 2014 HAS JUST NOW ENTERED THEIR SENIOR YEAR.
Today was a day to treat himself. He'd spent weeks working and being the perfect example of what a hard working, dedicated person should be and it had done nothing but worn him down and gotten him in trouble with the boss. Apparently staying later than expected and scaring the hell out of him at night when he thought everyone had gone home was frowned upon. He didn't care though, he had gotten all his deadlines in and cars out and had done himself proud. Kira was now off at a friends house for the night, and while a night in, and alone sounded nice his old ways called to him loudly.
He felt a bit guilty walking up to the doors, but the music coming from within was enough to distract him from that. Deep down he didn't want to be here, drinking and such had caused enough problems for himself and his family that he knew it was something that needed to end. But yet he found himself opening the door and letting himself into the pub.
He took a seat at an empty bar stool before glancing around, there were a few people here but most were in their own little groups minding their own business. This was probably a good thing, interaction for him wasn't always the best idea. He smiled at the bartender and ordered a beer before returning to glance out at the people. Temptation to strike up a conversation swelled in him but he stayed put. Sipping on the beer as it arrived everything was going fine, that was until someone new entered. New, and alone.

the twenty four year old blonde never found herself away from texas for long, her eyes scanned the area of her desk as a low sigh escaped her light pink lips. finally being able to relax in her seat, since she was finally finished with her paperwork and now all that was left was the actual case. "i really could use a drink right now." she whispered, mostly to herself and she was pretty sure her co-workers wouldn't say anything about it. she already knew that most of them often went to the bar, so they would not have any room to talk. she grabbed her purse by pulling it out of her bottom desk drawer, this came from the constant getting fucked over by people multiple times.
walking had always been something she enjoyed so she first drove home, so she wouldn't have to drive while intoxicated. she would hate herself if she hurt some innocent child. but the walk to the local bar was not that bad, but it wasn't a short, quick walk. turning the corner, she fixed her dress and hair before walking in. she had previously been there a few times before after she moved there, for quite some time now. it also didn't take long for the music to fill her ears, she made her way around the dancing drunken crowd. that was inevitable, every place that served alcohol that she's been to those people were there. it wasn't that she disliked them, hell sometimes she was one of those people but of course, that's after she has had a few of drinks of alcohol.
she slipped into the bar stool next to someone that she never met before, but that would had to wait until she got alcohol. "Long Island Ice Tea."
[/b] she ordered, flashing her ID at the bartender and getting her drink. taking a sip of her latest purchased, she could fill herself relaxing in her seat but not enough to take the edge off. taking a moment to herself before glancing over at him, "haven't seen you around here, are you new or what?" she started the question. she paused cause she realized that she didn't introduced herself, but that would have to wait until later. she particularly didn't care about his name at the moment. Urie was trying to keep his mind off the people around him now. Especially the new woman who had just walked in. This wasn't like him, sober or drunk he usually jumped to conversation and in fact was usually the first to start it off. But he was trying to change, trying to be a somewhat better person. Then again, he didn't really think he was trying all that hard if he was here in the first place. He sighed a little and looked towards the lady as she ordered her drink. He quickly looked away. Dammit, she was hot. Just what he needed. So much for trying to change. His grip on his bottle tightened as he made a plan to stay quiet, finish his beer and leave. But then she spoke, and changed the whole game.
He smiled to her when he realized she was talking to him. “Um, yeah just moved here about a month ago. I don't get out much” he shrugged with a smile. He took another long sip from his bottle and decided to at least try and be normal and social. Couldn't hurt if he kept things normal and calm right? He turned to the woman and extended a hand “I'm Urie, Always nice to meet someone new, especially when they look as stunning as you do” Dammit. His chest tightened a little. There he'd done it. Started a damn flirt. Now he was doomed to continue it. “You live around here long? This place seems kind of dull. I mean I was looking for dull but this is just insane.” He decided to end on a boring topic, hoping it made him seem a little less weird, but betting it didn't.

clarabeth wasn't the type of person that shyed away from people, and it was just the fact that people were often founded as ignorant mortals. her thoughts lead to the current trails that she would be working on for the next few following weeks. she often felt like she was being watched, but that was given since her occupation called for putting guilty people away with official evidence. she was use to finding trouble, or trouble usually found its way into her life. her lips found its way on the glass that contained her beverage, taking a long sip before finally gathering enough people skills to be able to start a conversation. it was also very hard for her to not be talkative around people, even strangers. she often felt secure around people, as long as it wasn't cops. she didn't like to think about how she had gotten to where she was about her feelings against the police forced, and only acknowledged that it was there.
a friendly smile was slowly spreading across her lips since the alcohol was letting her be a little more friendlier, she heard his answer about him only living here about a month, "that sounds like you just need a break." she commented on it, she didn't really mean anything by it. she just didn't want to be run by her own life, she also had the thrill of living in the moment. she glanced down at her glass and noticed that it stopped halfway down the glass. she picked her glass up, tilting it towards her lips and took a long sip. the feeling of alcohol hitting the back of her throat, and after her mouth was now empty, she sat her glass down, casting her eyes back over at him. there it was, he introduced his name.. well better him than her doing so, first. "well thank you, Urie. It's nice to meet you, as well. i'm clara." she introduced herself back, with a small smile. she wasn't an egotistical young woman, but she was confident and always ready to accept compliments due to anything pertaining to her. she heard his question, "a half a year, at least i moved here after i graduated college."
[/b] she responded to him. she took the last sip of her drink and ordered another one, she usually ordered the one with the most alcohol so she could feel the effects faster.
when she received the new glass, she took a sip and was finally starting to get into a good buzz. "you're adorable when you seem to worry about something."[/b], she found herself saying, with a light giggle. clarabeth did have a talent for picking out certain emotions and mentioning them, but when alcohol was involved, it was a little more bluntly.[/blockquote][/blockquote][/size]
