[/blockquote][/blockquote]Julieta felt drowsy. Her head was spinning. It was clear enough what had happened based on where she was. Even though she had not opened her eyes yet she could feel the padded floor under her feet. She didn’t feel like moving, but these rooms, these cells, they really freaked her out. She was afraid to be left alone with her thoughts. They put her here, they always did eventually. She didn’t have enough memories to get in the way of that happening, she lacked the necessary coping mechanism.
She tried to stay as calm as she could now, which was made easier by whatever it was that they had sedated her with. Since she didn’t care to move her need to get out of here was muted for the time being. But, she would still try to get someone to let her out if at all possible. She had needed to stay in one of these overnight before, and she didn’t relish the thought of doing it again.
“Hello?” she called out. “Hello? Is anyone out there? I’m feeling much better.” It was half true. Mentally she was, save for the alarm that wouldn’t leave her due to the room that she was in. Physically she was worse off, and she wasn’t sure if she could leave the room even if the door was opened, but then at least she would have the option when the medication wore off. She didn’t understand what wasn’t connecting in her mental journey. She didn’t understand why the PTSD seemed to be getting worse and the return of her memories slowed. Jules pressed her hands against the floor and pushed herself up as much as she could.
