The circus was closing for the night and the clean up crews were picking up the mess which was left by the customers. He stood in the entrances of the big tent looking outside at the night sky. His vision turned to the cleaning crew and he couldn't help but think of his dad. A smile came to Edmond's lips as he brought the cup of ice coffee to hips lips. One small sip was all he needed to wet his lips. Normally Edmond scarfed down coffee like it was water, but this time he was going to try and enjoy it.
He had been in the circus his entire life; the same went for his sister. Edmond moved away from the circus tent's opening and walked around one of the cleaners. He remembered when he use to clean, it was part of his chores. He would study with the gypsy , clean, then study more. Flash backs of when he first ended up on the tight rope walking to the other pole to get to the swing came to his mind as his eyes looked over the top of the ceiling. French came out of his lips, but roughly translated to 'You are doing a great job boys, keep it up." He moved to the back of the tent and into a side tent that had been connected. It was where the wild animals were kept. He told each of the animals good night, making sure to use their names when addressing them.
Edmond walked through the flaps that led outside. He walked till he got to the horses trailer. They were both laying down in some hay. "You two were great today." He said as he entered the trailer. He moved to sit down between the two horses on a pile of hay. It was a nice size trailer, just the right size to keep two horses comfortable. He was running his hand along the female horses back when he saw a head peak into the trailer and then disappear. "Excuse me? Can I help you with something?" His British accent a bit thicker as he spoke a little louder than he had been with the horses.
