As Mallory grew older and found herself wanting to be less and less under their control, she realised how controlling they were and how much they wanted their lives to be exactly as they planned it. That meant the whole family had to go exactly where Alan Llewellyn told them to go, if he wanted every single one of his children to go to America with him, they must, if he wanted one to stay, well that particular child had to stay. He was controlling and now Mallory was beginning to see that, especially now that she had finished school. It had annoyed her that he didn't allow her to stay to finish her A Levels and she reasoned with herself that she might as well not argue with them. She tried that, Florence tried that, and it wound up with Mallory's things being packed for her, and, eventually she came to terms with the fact she was being dragged halfway across the world as she would be able to come back within a few months to go to the dance school she'd already applied for and had dreamt about going to for years. Yes, that dream had been ruined within a few weeks, she'd had her dream crushed by her dad, typically, and found that it was too late to apply for the American Ballet Academy, but when she went for the audition they had told her if she tried again the year after, she would almost definitely get in. At least they were trying to make up for it by buying her a loft space and making it into an apartment and studio. It wasn't as much as they'd taken away though, and if she realised, as she knew that Percy had proposed to her sister, how much more their parents had taken away, she would have refused so much harder to move. She would have done everything she could to keep her sister with her boyfriend, really it would be ideal for the girls, but then, she wasn't really part of the family, she felt she could refuse even if she didn't know that she was adopted, Mallory just tagged along with what they decided because she didn't want to ruin things, that and she was scared. Too scared to rebel, but it was becoming likely if things didn't happen to go her way soon.

Having thrown herself fully into teaching the last few classes she had before she left the dance school and worked on the preparation of her own dance school, though she hadn't thought of a name yet. However, her parents had paid for work to be done and, though the dance studio section was done as it was quicker work and she had planned to open it in the new school year, so now. All she had left to do was to assign a name to the place and sign the paperwork, before advertising and opening. She had names in mind but she wanted to see what people she trusted to give a straight answer would say. That person was likely to be her sister, and now that they were on slightly better terms than they had been when she first came to Newport Mallory hoped that there would soon be an opportunity in which she could ask Florence what she thought. It was scary, though, that she was starting her own business and would have to talk to her parents about paying the money back to them. Then soon she'd be moving out and she would be out of their control, it would be wonderful, really. She couldn't wait.

Mallory had just got back from checking how the studio was, and practising a little whilst she was there, and she was looking around the room she'd spent the past six weeks in, with, really very little sorry about the whole situation. Now, she was looking forward to leaving her parents control behind, but, there was a few weeks left before she could do that, and unsurprisingly she had already started to pack her things back into her suitcases. There wasn't long between her returning into her room before her phone rang, and taking a moment to see whom it was that was calling her, noting that it was her sister calling her she answered. it wasn't long before she agreed to go for ice cream with her older sister, it appeared that they both wanted things to talk to each other about, though she didn't doubt that Florence's problems were much more important. She could hear it in her voice, she always could, sometimes she just ignored it. It was easier.

Cycling up to the ice cream parlour Mallory saw that Florence was on the phone in the window, it struck her as odd, but she had noted the strained tone in her voice, so she entered more slowly than she ordinarily would have done, she didn't want to interrupt her sister if she was in the middle of an important call. As Florence hung up she deigned it appropriate to walk into the parlour and up to her sister, touching her lightly on the shoulder, "What's the matter Florence, you look a little upset," the teen couldn't help but notice the bag in her hand and wondered what on earth could be in it, but, she didn't ask nor did she assume that it belonged to her. Sitting down, she looked at her with a half smile, hoping that there was nothing seriously wrong.

Had either girl voiced their opinion on their parents, they would have discovered that they were both still angry with them, though Mallory's argument would be that at the very least Florence could avoid them, it was impossible for her since she still lived under their roof. Considering all that they'd done to them, considering how they'd ruined her chances to live her dream to which she was so close to, she had never wanted to speak to them again, especially now she'd found that they wouldn't let her go to the univesity of her choice as it wasn't in the same country they were in, basically, Mallory had no future unless her parents gave her the money for the dance studio which they were doing, since she'd not been allowed to stay to finish all of her A Levels, but she did have her dance results, and she wasn't allowed to go to the dance school she'd already applied for. She didn't understand why they were so unreasonable and her anger at them would only become stronger when she heard her older sister's news. When she spent time at the studio they'd had built for her, it reminded her that they had needed to buy the place for her in order for her to have a future and it made her so furious, she hoped that there would be some nice memories made by those she would give lessons to, but she did love the design of the place, it was classical and lofty, seeing as it was in the loft stretched across four houses. Mallory was unsure how they'd managed to get it but they had, and they'd created her a perfect studio and they'd nearly made her the perfect little flat, it just needed a few finishing touches.

Still, she hadn't heard her sister's news yet, so she didn't have any more anger than she normally did, at the minute she was looking forward to ice cream with her sister and as she walked into the parlour, that was the only thing other than ballet that was going through her mind, was having a nice chat with her sister with ice cream, though, in the back of her mind, she did have the niggling feeling that her parents had ruined more for Florence than a relationship, but she didn't know that for sure and, well, things changed fast in their family.

Now, sat opposite her sister, she heard the words that Florence described herself with, and a worried from took the place of the smile that had been splayed across her face, but still, she didn't question it, Mallory had learnt that it was best to leave her siblings to tell her things when they were good and ready. "Thanks, and no, no, you didn't interrupt anything. I just went to check over the studio and to try and think of a name, but I've not got a lot, just a name that sounds too big for what it is," Mallory shrugged, and smiled to show her sister that she wasn't too bothered, "You know, I might have to take you up on that, Mum and Dad are getting to be unbearable, they keep asking if I've heard from you, it's as if they're incapable of calling you themselves," Mallory frowned slightly, but she knew that whatever she said, she wouldn't end up staying with her sister, her parents would make it difficult and by the time they gave in to her staying with Florence, her flat would be ready so she might as well not try.

Mallory was taken aback when the gift bag was handed to her, and she was even more surprised when she was asked not to judge her sister. Opening the bag, Mal frowned, "Florence, this isn't funny," she said with a grin as she pulled out the dummies, "I'm not helping you with your daycare, I have my own business to take care of now, and it's not even named," laughing she pulled the final present from the bag. She read the message on the shirt and her face fell. My God... they really have pushed the limit, have you told them yet? You haven't have you? Called Percy? Told Fran?" Mallory's head was spinning, it didn't surprise her that she hadn't told their parents, but they ought to know, if only to know what great wrong they'd done. Suddenly, Mallory smiled, "You know, you'll have to let me teach them ballet," she shook her head though, glad she didn't have anything as life changing as what had happened to her sister happened to her in the last few months, but she'd pretty much had all chances at a decent life ruined, that was unless she could get into an academy through a dance show or something of the sort. "It'll be okay Florence, but three dummies... wait... you're not expecting triplets are you. For goodness' sakes." Still Mallory laughed, it seemed like the only thing she could do to relieve the tension.
