This was his first day of high school, Freshman, the lowly man on the totem-pole. Instead of walking to school or getting a ride, he skateboarded to school. He didn't worry about what people thought of him or how he appeared to other people, so dressing for school that morning he just wore his regular jeans and a button down. His hair was messy like usual, and he wore a long brim hat on and sunglasses. When he got there he picked up his skateboard. He walked into the school taking his hat and glasses off, he found his locker without much trouble and kept out of the way of his peers. He was only five foot five after all. Most people towered over him, it wasn't hard.
He put his skateboard in the locker. He glanced around. What sucked about being a Freshman, but being a Freshman in a completely new city and a new school. He didn't know anyone except his older brother and he doubted he would be talking to him at school, he had to meet new people as well. It sucked. All of it. He was not good with people, he blamed it on his parents. But, he was trying. Maybe some of his brothers would rub off on him and he would have a tattoo by next week. He doubted his oldest brother Ben would discourage it at all.
He grabbed his bag, which had his Ipod in it, a notebook just in case some crazy teacher decided to make them do stuff the first day, and a pen, for the same reason as the notebook. He walked to his first class, he memorized the room numbers in the order he needed so he didn't have to have that paper out like an idiot and a lost puppy. He found the room and took a seat in the back, out of the way and maybe the teacher wouldn't call on him the first day. No need to draw attention to himself.
