SHE COULD BE A JOAN OF ARC
Sixteen year old Geoffrey was in a band, and to this day is still in that same band, but at that young age he had met a young lady. At the time she was nineteen, and Geoffy was just smitten almost instantaneously. She was beautiful, edgy, lewd.. The type of girl your parents warned you about. Nikolette Jean was absolutely gorgeous, standing before him in her studded leather jacket, smoking a cigarette. In that moment he knew that she would be his, and he was absolutely right.
At twenty-one, the couple was officially married. Oh, but that’s not the end of our story. In fact, I skipped a lot. See, together Nikki and Geoffy have children, twins as it so happens. A boy and a girl, named James Dean and Norma Jean. They are about two and a half years old, so yes, that means they were born out of wedlock. In this day and age though, who cares right? Certainly not two young rebels without a cause, right?
They’re relationship was actually pretty damn near perfect. Love was never an issue. Geoffy did all the things a great boyfriend did, and Nikki did all the things a wonderful girlfriend would do. Trust though, it wasn’t there. With Geoffy’s job, he was constantly traveling, talking to girls, getting hit on. But he was spoken for, and not once went past the line of flirting. Nikki didn’t believe him, not for one second. And that’s when it all started.
Around five months ago, he moved out and got his own apartment. At first, Nikki was fine with it. He got his kids on the weekends, and for the most part he still does. Sometimes she gets a stick up her ass and won’t give them to him, but it’s never because he’s a bad parent. She knows he’s a great father, and he was a great husband. So for these reasons, she won’t sign the divorce papers. Technically they’re still legally married.
This can go many different ways. There’s a possibility that they can get back together, but the trust needs to be found. Geoffy will always have a special place in his heart for the mother of his children. They can actually get divorced, or never get divorced at all. I’m completely open to it (:
