Overall Personality: Cordelia Blackwell is a mother first and a detective second. If you mess with her baby girls, then you might get the cop Cory. That's right, you'll get her Glock 22 in the face if you think about harming her little girls. Cory is a wonderful mom, she makes sure to have at least one day a month for mommy and me time with them, to the park or a zoo, anywhere that they want. She is a fun woman, but because of her kids she rarely gets time to herself or god forbid go on a date once and a while. Then again, she never gets asked because she's either at work or with her daughters. Not many mew are ready to get into a family right away, but that's what she is. She's her own little family. Her daughters are everything to her. Besides her daughters, she loves to cook and bake. This is what she was going into before she changed her major. She loves to laugh and smile, she is very serious at her job. She tries to look on the bright side of things, but being that she's a Special Victims Detective, she is a little hesitant with the things she sees. That's why she is so protective of her babies. She loves to be outdoors, growing up in Kentucky, she hiked, camped, fished, and even rode a horse or two. She likes to go for walks with her dogs and kids, the park is one of her favorite places, it always has been. Her red hair gives her the excuse to be feisty and a little unpredictable. She doesn't like when people assume just because she's a woman that she can't handle herself, and honestly that makes her work harder. That's how she moved up from an officer to a detective two years sooner than the average officer. She had something to prove and now they have to look to her for directions and she loves it.

Overall History: Cordelia is the only daughter and child of her parents, Martha and Luke Blackwell. She grew up in Southern Kentucky and they lived there until she was ten before her parents were transferred with their jobs to Newport Beach, California. She adjusted well, even though she missed the snow. She traded backwoods for the beach and has never looked back. She grew up easily, though the sun killed her, like it would anywhere. Her parents were both high dollar accountants for a big business and they were just a normal happy family. They let Cory do what she wanted, but with limits set. They always told her California boys were different than Kentucky boys. She grew into a beautiful young lady and had goals and a bright future. When she was eighteen she was at a end of the year beach party with a few girlfriends, everyone was drinking and having a good time. Telling stories around the camp fire. Then the worst happen and one of her friends was attacked by one of their fellow peers. Of course he took her away from everyone before doing it. She came back and was so scared she wouldn't tell them what happened. That changed Cory right then and there. She convinced her friend to let her take her to the hospital, when they got there the cops were called and later that night the guy was detained and sent to jail for assault and rape. Right there, Cory, who was going into culinary arts changed her mind to go into law enforcement. She went into college that August and started to future in law enforcement. Of course from the beginning everyone thought it was a joke, what was a pretty girl like Cory doing going into a field with guns and violence. But, she graduated with a 4.0 and was the top of her classes. She was accepted into the academy of Orange County that summer and in six months she was assigned to the police precinct in Newport. That's where she met her first partner, he was older than her but was still considered a rookie or that's what they all called him when she got there. They were partners for about four years and then one day he just left without telling her why he was leaving. She was heartbroken because she sort of loved him; she respected him so much and he was a great guy. She moved on, she was given a new partner and then she met a man who a year later would give her a beautiful daughter. Their relationship was never great, not even on a good day. But, they were both too stubborn to end it, desperate to make it work for their daughter. Three years later she found out she was pregnant again, and neither of them were thrilled about it. Cory of course loves both of her daughters but she didn't like that their father never was fully in it. Nine months later their second daughter was born and it was about a month later that he just left her. She was pissed as you can imagine; he just abandoned her daughters. But, it's been over a year and it couldn't be better. She loves both of her daughters to death and luckily her oldest, Freya is four and has stopped asking about her dad and little Athena is almost two, and doesn't remember his obviously since she was only a month when he left.
